Saclà Pesto Sauce

Saclà is a family-owned Italian food company founded in 1939 by Secondo Ercole and his wife Piera Campanella in Asti, Piedmont, Italy. Initially established as SALPA (Stabilimento Astese Lavorazione Prodotti Alimentari), the company rebranded to SACLÀ, standing for "Società Anonima Commercio e Lavorazione Alimentari," in 1939. Saclà began by canning surplus vegetables from the fertile Tanaro Valley, gradually expanding its product range to include pesto, pasta sauces, antipasti, and pickled vegetables. Over the decades, Saclà has become renowned for its authentic Italian fine food, using the finest, freshly picked vegetables and traditional recipes. The company remains family-run, with the third generation, represented by Chiara Ercole, daughter of Lorenzo Ercole, currently at the helm as CEO. Saclà's products are made in Italy, and the company has a strong international presence, exporting to over 70 countries. In 2024, Saclà became part of the Almaverde Bio Italia Srl consortium, specializing in organic products.
