Côte d'Or Chokotoff

Côte d'Or is a quintessential Belgian chocolate brand founded in 1883 by Charles Neuhaus. The brand name refers to the Gold Coast (modern-day Ghana), the source of many of their cocoa beans, and is famously symbolized by an elephant logo. Chokotoff, one of their most iconic products, is a firm caramel toffee coated in dark chocolate. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Belgian heritage and culture, it has been under international ownership for several decades. Today, Côte d'Or is owned by Mondelēz International, a prominent American multinational conglomerate in the snack and confectionery industry. Most Côte d'Or products, including the popular Chokotoff, continue to be manufactured at their historic facility in Halle, Belgium, maintaining their reputation for quality craftsmanship.
