Miller Lite is an American light pilsner beer that played a pivotal role in the creation of the light beer category. Originally developed as Gablinger's Diet Beer by biochemical researcher Joseph L. Owades, the formula was later acquired by the Miller Brewing Company. In 1975, it was launched nationally as Miller Lite, famously marketed with the 'Great Taste... Less Filling!' campaign.

Today, the brand remains a staple of the American brewing industry. While it was originally synonymous with Milwaukee, Wisconsin, it is now manufactured in multiple regional breweries across the United States to ensure freshness and efficient distribution. The brand has transitioned through various corporate ownerships, including Philip Morris and SABMiller.

Since 2016, Miller Lite has been part of the Molson Coors Beverage Company portfolio. This ownership was solidified after Anheuser-Busch InBev acquired SABMiller, requiring the sale of SABMiller's stake in MillerCoors to Molson Coors to satisfy antitrust regulations. It remains one of the top-selling beer brands in North America.
