Tayto Cheese & Onion Crisps

Tayto is an iconic Irish brand of potato crisps, legendary for being the original inventor of the cheese and onion flavor. The brand was founded in 1954 by Joe 'Spud' Murphy in Dublin, Ireland, and quickly became a staple of Irish culture. Today, the brand's mascot, Mr. Tayto, remains one of Ireland's most recognizable symbols.

The headquarters and main production facility are located at Tayto Park (now known as Emerald Park) in Ashbourne, County Meath, Ireland. In 2006, the brand was acquired by Largo Foods, which was later renamed Tayto Snacks. Tayto Snacks is currently a subsidiary of the German-owned Intersnack Group, a major player in the European snack market. Despite international ownership, the product maintains its distinct Irish heritage and local production.
