Verkade Melk Chocolate

Verkade Melk Chocolate is a classic Dutch chocolate bar produced by Verkade, a company with a rich heritage in confectionery. Founded in 1886 by Ericus Gerhardus Verkade in Zaandam, Netherlands, the company initially focused on bread and rusk production. Over time, Verkade expanded its product range to include cookies, sweets, and chocolates, becoming a household name in the Netherlands. In 1950, Verkade was granted the 'Royal' designation, reflecting its esteemed position in Dutch industry. In November 2014, Verkade was acquired by Pladis, a global biscuit, chocolate, and confectionery company owned by the Turkish conglomerate Yıldız Holding. This acquisition has allowed Verkade to continue its tradition of producing high-quality chocolate products, including the Verkade Melk Chocolate bar, which remains a favorite among consumers.
