KP Peanuts is one of the most iconic British snack brands, with a history dating back to 1853 when the Kenyon Produce company was founded in Rotherham. Originally a producer of confectionery and jam, the brand pivoted to specialise in roasted peanuts in the mid-20th century, becoming a staple in British pubs and households.

Today, KP is manufactured primarily in the United Kingdom, specifically at high-volume production facilities in places like Hellaby, South Yorkshire. While the raw peanuts are sourced globally from regions like South America and Africa, the roasting, seasoning, and packaging are handled domestically to ensure freshness and quality for the UK market.

Ownership of the brand has changed hands several times, passing through United Biscuits until it was acquired by the Intersnack Group in 2013. Intersnack, a major German multinational, now manages KP Snacks as a major subsidiary, overseeing a portfolio that includes other famous names like Hula Hoops and McCoy's.
