In 2012, the brand was acquired by Star Brands, a British company that expanded the line into a comprehensive range of household cleaners. The brand experienced explosive growth in recent years, largely driven by viral popularity on social media platforms like TikTok. Most of its products, including the Daily Shower & Shine spray, are manufactured at Star Brands' high-speed production facility in Redditch, Worcestershire, England.

In early 2025, the American multinational RPM International Inc. acquired Star Brands Group. As a result, The Pink Stuff is now part of RPM's Consumer Group and is integrated into its Rust-Oleum cleaning business, though it continues to operate from its Leeds headquarters and Redditch manufacturing site.
