Nespresso maintains three primary production centers in the Swiss municipalities of Avenches, Orbe, and Romont, where all its coffee capsules are roasted, ground, and packaged for global distribution.

The brand was founded in 1986 as a subsidiary of the Swiss multinational Nestlé.
