Record Cigarettes

Record is a traditional cigarette brand manufactured by Compañía Insular de Tabacos S.A. (CITA), which is headquartered in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The brand has a long-standing history within the Spanish tobacco market, particularly in the Canary Islands, which has a distinct tradition of tobacco cultivation and processing.

Historically, the brand was part of the CITA portfolio before the company was acquired by the multinational tobacco giant Gallaher Group in 2001. Gallaher Group itself was subsequently acquired by Japan Tobacco Inc. (JTI) in 2007. This acquisition integrated the Record brand into the global operations of JTI. Today, while the product maintains its local heritage and manufacturing presence in Spain, it is part of a large international portfolio managed by a global leader in the tobacco industry.
