Taffel is a well-established snack brand that originated in Denmark in the mid-20th century. Originally founded as part of the Danske Spritfabrikker (Danish Distilleries) in Aalborg, the brand specialized in potato chips and savory snacks, becoming a household name across Scandinavia and the Baltics.
Today, the brand is owned by Orkla, a leading Norwegian industrial conglomerate. While Taffel's heritage is Danish and it maintains a strong market presence there, much of its modern production is centralized at Orkla's large-scale manufacturing facility in Ādaži, Latvia, which supplies various European markets. The 'Chicken Pomm's' variety shown here represents their expansion into flavored, shaped potato and starch-based snacks beyond traditional potato chips.
