While the brand maintains its design and sales operations in Denmark (specifically Roskilde), the production has shifted internationally to remain competitive. This specific product is manufactured in China, where the company established dedicated offices and quality control teams in the 1980s.

In July 2025, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by AGK Nordic A/S, another prominent Danish supplier of non-food and household goods. This acquisition integrated the century-old C.C. Hansen brand into AGK Nordic's larger distribution network, ensuring the brand's continued presence in the European retail market.
