The brand's origin story began during a year-long world trip, where the founders were inspired by the craftsmanship of artisans in Africa and India. The name 'Nkuku' was actually borrowed from a village the couple passed through in Zambia.

Nkuku products are primarily handmade by artisans in various locations worldwide, with a significant portion of their production occurring in India.
