Sandoz is a watch brand with a deep-rooted heritage in Swiss horology, dating back to 1870 when Henri Frédéric Sandoz founded the company in Le Locle, Switzerland. Throughout the early 20th century, the brand became renowned for its precision movements and innovative ultra-thin designs, gaining significant recognition at the Neuchâtel Observatory.
Due to historical licensing agreements and industry shifts in the 1970s, the brand's production and distribution were divided into four distinct regions: Sandoz Swiss, Sandoz Spain, Sandoz Singapore, and Sandoz Hong Kong. Each operates independently with its own product range. Since 2000, Sandoz Spain has been owned by the Munreco Group, which also owns other notable watch brands like Maurice Lacroix (in Spain) and Viceroy. While different companies manage the brand globally, Sandoz watches continue to be associated with Swiss quality and precision, often featuring 'Swiss Made' movements and sapphire crystals.
