The 'Dragee Keksi' as they are known today were developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, becoming an iconic snack in Austria, reinforced by the famous advertising slogan 'Wenn ich nur aufhören könnt' (If only I could stop).

The brand has been under the ownership of the traditional Viennese company Josef Manner & Comp. AG since 1970. Manufacturing remains concentrated in Austria, primarily at Manner's production facilities in Vienna. These biscuits are characterized by their unique coating process, where the biscuit core is slowly drizzled with chocolate to create its signature crunchy texture. The 'Milchschokolade' (Milk Chocolate) variety shown was officially introduced to the market in 2002 to cater to the growing demand for a sweeter, milk-based alternative to the classic dark chocolate mix.
