ICA Söta & saftiga Plommon (Sweet & Juicy Plums) is a private label product from the Swedish retail giant ICA. The brand's history dates back to 1917 when Hakon Swenson founded Hakonbolaget in Västerås, Sweden. This business model allowed independent retailers to join forces for purchasing and logistics, a concept that officially became the ICA Group (Inköpscentralernas Aktiebolag) in 1938.

The manufacturing of these dried plums typically involves sourcing high-quality fruit from global agricultural regions such as Chile and the United States, with final processing and packaging occurring in various locations including Sweden and Turkey. This allows the brand to maintain consistent supply and quality throughout the year.

In terms of ownership, ICA underwent a significant change in late 2021 when it was delisted from the stock exchange. It is now primarily owned by ICA-handlarnas Förbund (the association of ICA retailers), which holds a majority 87% stake, while the pension fund AMF owns the remaining 13%. This structure ensures that the brand remains deeply rooted in Swedish retail traditions while being managed through the holding company Murgröna Holding AB.
