Bjorg is a pioneering French brand in the organic food sector, founded in 1970 near Lyon by nutritionist Robert Bonneterre. The brand was established with the mission to provide healthy, balanced, and high-quality organic products to the mass market. This specific muesli, featuring a blend of whole grains and dried fruits like raisins, figs, dates, and apricots without added sugars, is manufactured in Germany, a hub for high-quality organic cereal production.

Over the decades, the brand has seen shifts in ownership. After being acquired by the Dutch group Royal Wessanen in 2000, the company underwent a significant transformation and was eventually taken private in 2019 by a consortium led by the French investment firm PAI Partners. In 2020, Wessanen was rebranded as Ecotone and moved its headquarters back to Saint-Genis-Laval, France, effectively returning the brand to its French roots. Today, Bjorg is the flagship brand of Ecotone, which is the leading European company for organic and plant-based foods and the first large-scale food business to receive B Corp certification.
