Orangina Rouge soft drink

Orangina is a citrus-based carbonated beverage originally developed in French Algeria by Spanish chemist Agustín Trigo in 1933. It was later marketed and popularized in France starting in 1936. The 'Rouge' variant features blood orange and other citrus notes, maintaining the brand's signature characteristic of containing real fruit pulp and essential oils.

While the brand has deep French roots and its iconic round 'shakers' bottle is a symbol of French lifestyle, its ownership has transitioned through major international conglomerates over the decades. Since 2009, the brand has been owned by the Japanese multinational Suntory. In Europe, the brand is managed under the Suntory Beverage & Food Europe division. Manufacturing remains heavily concentrated in France to support its heritage, though bottling plants exist across Europe and internationally to serve local markets.
