Itsu ramen broth is a product of Itsu [grocery], the retail arm of the popular British East Asian-inspired restaurant chain. While the brand is deeply rooted in London and draws its culinary inspiration from Japanese tradition, the physical production of the liquid 'Brilliant' broth cartons typically takes place in Spain, as indicated on their packaging. However, for certain dry noodle pot variants, the brand sources authentic broth bases directly from partners in the Nagano valley, Japan.

Founded in 1997 by Julian Metcalfe—the entrepreneur also famous for co-founding Pret A Manger—Itsu began as a high-street restaurant in Chelsea, London. The grocery division was later established to bring restaurant-quality Asian staples like gyoza, seaweed thins, and ramen broths to supermarket shelves. Today, the brand remains under the private ownership of its founder, maintaining a focus on healthy, convenient, and affordable Asian-inspired cuisine across the UK and expanding European markets.
