Quechua is a major French brand specializing in hiking and camping equipment, exclusively sold through Decathlon. The brand was founded in 1997 by a small team of Decathlon employees who relocated from Lille to the foot of Mont Blanc in the French Alps to be closer to outdoor enthusiasts. Since its inception, Quechua has focused on making mountain sports accessible through innovative and affordable products, such as the famous '2 Seconds' pop-up tent and technical outdoor apparel.

While the brand's global design and testing center remains in the French Alps (Passy/Sallanches), manufacturing is conducted in multiple countries worldwide to support its global retail network. Quechua is a wholly-owned brand of Decathlon, which itself is primarily owned by the Mulliez family (through the Association Familiale Mulliez) and the founding Leclercq family. As of 2026, Decathlon continues to operate as one of the world's largest sporting goods retailers, maintaining its headquarters in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France.
