Kourtaki Retsina is a hallmark of Greek viticulture, rooted in a winemaking tradition that spans over three millennia. This specific product is crafted primarily from the Savatiano grape variety, harvested from the sun-drenched vineyards of the Attica region in Central Greece.

The brand is owned and operated by Greek Wine Cellars D. Kourtakis S.A., one of the largest and most historic wine producers in Greece. Founded in 1895 by Vassilis Kourtakis, the company has remained under the management of the Kourtakis family for four generations. The wine is produced and bottled at their modern facilities in Markopoulo and Ritsona, ensuring that the traditional character of the 'yellow label' Retsina—a design created in the mid-20th century—is maintained for global distribution.
