Ostmann Kräutersalz

Ostmann is one of Germany's most established and recognizable spice brands, known for its wide variety of herbs, spices, and seasonings. This specific product, Kräutersalz (herb salt), is a fine blend of sea salt combined with a variety of aromatic herbs like parsley, chives, and rosemary.

Originally founded in 1902 by Karl Ostmann in Bielefeld, the brand was a pioneer in portioning spices for consumer use. Since 1998, Ostmann has been part of the Fuchs Group (Fuchs Gruppe), the largest spice manufacturer in Germany and one of the leaders in the global market. While the company's production was originally centered in Bielefeld, most operations were consolidated in Dissen following the acquisition. The Fuchs Group remains the ultimate owner as of 2026, maintaining its headquarters and primary manufacturing facilities in Germany.
