Soplica is one of Poland's most iconic and historic spirit brands, established in 1891 by Bolesław Michał Kasprowicz in Gniezno. The brand's name and imagery, including the manor house on the label, are deeply rooted in Polish literature, specifically referencing the epic poem 'Pan Tadeusz' by Adam Mickiewicz. For over a century, Soplica has been synonymous with Polish craftsmanship, known for both its pure grain vodka and its wide range of traditional fruit-infused liqueurs (nalewki).

Manufacturing takes place at the Polmos Łańcut distillery in southeastern Poland, where traditional recipes and natural ingredients like sun-ripened fruits and Polish spirits are used to maintain the brand's heritage. In terms of ownership, the brand underwent a significant shift in 2022 when it was acquired by the Maspex Group from the Russian Standard Corporation. This acquisition returned Soplica to Polish ownership, making it part of the largest food and beverage group in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Today, Maspex continues to manage the brand globally from its headquarters in Wadowice, Poland.
