Sanex is a well-established personal care brand that focuses on skin health and microbiome balance. Originally launched in Spain in 1984 by the Sara Lee Corporation, it pioneered the concept of soap-free cleansing with its first shower gel. The brand's philosophy, 'Keep Skin Healthy,' has guided its expansion into deodorants, moisturizers, and hand soaps across Europe and South Africa.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through major conglomerates. Unilever acquired Sanex from Sara Lee in 2009, but due to European Commission anti-trust regulations, they were required to divest the brand. In 2011, Colgate-Palmolive acquired Sanex for approximately $940 million to bolster its personal care portfolio in the European market. Today, while the brand maintains a strong heritage in Spain and the UK, its products are manufactured in multiple facilities across Europe, including major sites in Italy and Poland, to serve its international consumer base.
