Saugella is a specialized line of feminine hygiene products, with the Dermoliquido variant being its flagship pH-balanced cleanser. The brand has a rich history originating in Italy, where it was developed by Laboratori Guieu, a laboratory with over 50 years of expertise in gynecological health. The brand became a household name in Italy and several European markets due to its clinically tested formulas containing natural extracts like sage (Salvia officinalis).

Throughout its history, Saugella has transitioned through several major pharmaceutical owners, including Rottapharm and Mylan. In recent years, it was part of the Viatris portfolio (a company formed by the merger of Mylan and Pfizer's Upjohn). In July 2024, a significant shift in ownership occurred when Cooper Consumer Health, a leading European healthcare platform based in France, completed the acquisition of Viatris's over-the-counter (OTC) business. As of 2026, Saugella is a key brand under the Cooper Consumer Health umbrella. Manufacturing continues to be concentrated in specialized facilities, most notably the Confienza site in Italy, which was included in the acquisition to ensure continued quality and heritage in production.
