Weetabix is an iconic whole-grain breakfast cereal known for its distinct biscuit shape. The product was originally created by Bennison Osborne in South Africa in the early 1920s before being launched in the United Kingdom in 1932. Today, it remains the UK’s most popular cereal brand, valued for its high fiber content and minimal sugar. The majority of Weetabix products sold in Europe and the UK are manufactured at their primary facility in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, using wheat sourced within a 50-mile radius of the factory.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through several major corporations. After many years as a British-owned independent company, it was acquired by the US private equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst in 2004. In 2012, a controlling stake was sold to the Chinese state-owned enterprise Bright Food. However, as of 2017, the brand is owned by Post Holdings, Inc., an American consumer packaged goods holding company that continues to operate the brand globally, maintaining its strong British manufacturing heritage while expanding its international footprint.
