Milkana Sahne is a popular German brand of spreadable processed cheese, particularly known for its creamy 'Sahne' (cream) variety. The brand was originally launched in 1950 under the name 'Milka' but was renamed to Milkana in 1952. It is deeply rooted in the Allgäu region of Germany, where its manufacturing facilities are located. The product emphasizes the use of milk from the Allgäu Alps, specifically from cows following a 'Grünlandfütterung' (greenland feeding) diet, which consists mainly of fresh grass, hay, or grass silage.

Historically, the brand was part of the Unilever portfolio. However, in the early 2000s, it was acquired by the French dairy giant Savencia Fromage & Dairy (formerly known as Bongrain). Today, the brand is produced by Edelweiss GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of Savencia located in Kempten, Germany. Milkana remains a market leader in the processed cheese segment in Germany while also maintaining an international presence in markets across Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa.
