Dansukker is the leading sugar brand in the Nordic and Baltic regions, with a history dating back to the mid-19th century. The brand's roots lie in the early sugar beet industries of Denmark and Sweden, founded by De Danske Sukkerfabriker (1872) and Svenska Sockerfabriks AB (1907). These entities eventually consolidated into Nordic Sugar, which officially launched the unified Dansukker brand in 2000.
Brun Farin Strö is a specialty brown sugar product popular in Sweden for baking and cooking. It is primarily produced at Nordic Sugar's facilities in Sweden, specifically at the Örtofta sugar plant and the Arlöv liquid sugar plant. Since 2009, the brand has been owned by the German group Nordzucker AG, following its acquisition of Nordic Sugar. Nordzucker is one of the world's largest sugar producers, maintaining a strong focus on sustainable beet and cane sugar production across Europe and Australia.
