Nothing is a contemporary consumer electronics brand based in London, United Kingdom. Founded in October 2020 by Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, the company was established with the mission of making technology 'exciting again' through minimalist and transparent design philosophies. The brand gained significant attention with the launch of its first product, the Ear (1) earbuds, in 2021, followed by its signature smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1), in 2022.

While the brand is British and its design team is based in London (partnering with the Swedish firm Teenage Engineering for early aesthetics), the manufacturing of its devices is heavily centered in India. Specifically, Nothing has established significant production lines in Chennai, India, to serve both the local market and global exports. As of 2025 and 2026, the company has increasingly leaned into India as its primary manufacturing and export hub, particularly for its flagship Phone (3) and the budget-oriented sub-brand CMF by Nothing.

Nothing Technology Limited remains a private company backed by high-profile venture capital and angel investors. Major financial backers include GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, alongside individual tech luminaries like Tony Fadell (the creator of the iPod), Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, and YouTuber Casey Neistat.
