Oatibix Flakes is a breakfast cereal brand developed by the Weetabix Food Company. While the original Weetabix biscuit is wheat-based, the Oatibix line was introduced in 2006 to provide a similar whole-grain experience using 100% whole-grain oats. The product is primarily manufactured in the United Kingdom, specifically at the company's historic mills in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire.
The brand's history is deeply rooted in British breakfast culture, originating from the British and African Cereal Co Ltd (later Weetabix Limited) founded in 1932. Although it was a family-owned business for much of its history, ownership changed several times in the 21st century. After being owned by private equity firms and the Chinese state-owned Bright Food, the Weetabix Food Company was acquired in July 2017 by the American consumer packaged goods company Post Holdings, which remains the ultimate owner as of 2026.
