Oral-B is a global leader in oral hygiene, famously known for its 'powered by Braun' technology. The Oral-B Pro 3 3000 series is part of the brand's mid-range electric toothbrush lineup, featuring pressure sensor technology and 3D cleaning action. The brand's history is a blend of American innovation and German engineering excellence.
The handles, motors, and many of the brush heads for the Pro 3 series are primarily manufactured in Marktheidenfeld, Germany, at a dedicated Procter & Gamble facility. This plant is a global hub for Oral-B's rechargeable technology. However, certain components such as travel cases, chargers, and some specific brush head lines may be produced in China (notably Shanghai) to support global distribution.
Originally founded in California in 1950 by dentist Robert Hutson, Oral-B was later acquired by Gillette in 1984. Since Gillette also owned the German brand Braun, the two companies collaborated to create the modern electric toothbrush. Today, the brand is owned by the American multinational Procter & Gamble (P&G), which acquired Gillette in 2005.
