Palmini Rice

Palmini is a brand of vegetable-based pasta and rice alternatives made from hearts of palm. The brand was founded by Alfonso Tejada, a Bolivian entrepreneur who recognized the potential for a low-carb, gluten-free alternative to traditional wheat-based grains. The product gained significant fame after appearing on the American television show Shark Tank in 2018 (Season 9), where it secured an investment from Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner.

The raw materials for Palmini products are sourced from cultivated palm trees in Ecuador. Unlike wild harvesting, the brand uses a sustainable process where the heart of the palm is harvested without killing the tree, allowing it to regrow and be harvested again. The manufacturing and packaging processes are also primarily centered in Ecuador, close to the source of the hearts of palm, to maintain freshness and sustainability.
