Kærgården is a flagship brand of the Danish-Swedish dairy cooperative Arla Foods. Launched in 1990 by MD Foods (which later merged with the Swedish Arla to form Arla Foods), it was the first product in Denmark to successfully market a blend of milk fat and vegetable oil. This innovation allowed the product to remain spreadable even when taken directly from the refrigerator, a quality that led to it becoming one of the most sold dairy brands in the country.

The product is primarily manufactured at the Holstebro Dairy in Denmark, where fresh cream is combined with rapeseed oil and salt. While the brand is quintessentially Danish, its success led to the development of similar products for international markets, such as Lurpak Spreadable in the United Kingdom and Germany. Today, Kærgården remains owned by the farmer-owned cooperative Arla Foods, maintaining its status as a household staple in Scandinavia.
