SA8 is a high-performance laundry detergent brand originally introduced in 1960. It was the second major product launched by Amway, following their initial Liquid Organic Cleaner (L.O.C.). The brand is widely recognized for being a pioneer in concentrated and biodegradable cleaning solutions, marketing its 'Bioquest' formula which emphasizes environmental safety alongside effective stain removal.
Manufacturing of SA8 is a global operation to serve Amway's vast network of independent business owners. Primary production occurs in the United States, particularly at facilities associated with Amway's headquarters in Michigan. To support international markets and reduce shipping distances, manufacturing also takes place in regional hubs including China, India, Vietnam, and Belgium.
Ownership of the SA8 brand remains with Amway Corp., which is the largest multi-level marketing company globally. Amway is part of the Alticor group of companies, a private entity owned by the families of the company's founders, Richard DeVos and Jay Van Andel. As of 2026, Amway continues to manage SA8 as one of its core legacy brands within its home care portfolio.
