Chiaverini is a historic Italian brand specializing in premium jams and marmalades, famously known as the 'jam of the Florentines.' Founded in 1928 by the Chiaverini brothers in Florence, the brand gained iconic status through its unique 'mastello' (tub-shaped) packaging, originally made of wood and later evolved into cardboard and aluminum with an easy-open lid. The brand is celebrated for its traditional recipes that typically use just three ingredients: high-quality fruit, sugar, and time.
Today, the brand continues to be manufactured in the Tuscany region of Italy, specifically in the facilities located near Florence (Campi Bisenzio and Calenzano). In 2022, the brand was acquired by Le Bontà S.r.l., a Tuscan food group owned by the Barbagli and Carapelli families, who have over a century of heritage in the Italian food industry. This acquisition ensures that the artisan vocation and traditional Florentine identity of Chiaverini are preserved while benefiting from broader distribution.
