Kölln is a traditional German brand specializing in oat-based products, most famous for its 'Blütenzarte Köllnflocken' (delicate oat flakes). The company's history dates back to 1795 when Hans Hinrich Kölln took over a grain mill in Elmshorn, though the industrial enterprise was officially established in 1820 by his son, Peter Kölln. The brand gained cult status in the 20th century by introducing packaged branded oat flakes and eventually expanding into mueslis and cereals.

Today, Peter Kölln GmbH & Co. KGaA remains an independent, family-owned business headquartered in Elmshorn, Germany. It is currently managed by the 7th generation of the family. While the brand is synonymous with oats, the company has expanded its portfolio to include traditional German edible oil and fat brands like Mazola, Palmin, and Biskin. Manufacturing is primarily concentrated in Elmshorn, where the company operates its own mills and production facilities, utilizing regionally grown oats.
