Vietti wine

Vietti is a historic winery located in the heart of the Langhe region in Piedmont, Italy, specifically in the village of Castiglione Falletto. Founded in the late 19th century by Carlo Vietti, the estate gained international acclaim under the leadership of Alfredo Currado and Luciana Vietti, who were pioneers in producing single-vineyard 'cru' Barolo and reviving the Arneis grape variety.

In 2016, the winery was acquired by the Krause family, American entrepreneurs known for their business interests in the United States and Italy. Despite the change in ownership, the winery maintains its traditional production methods and focus on high-quality Piedmontese wines, including Barolo, Barbaresco, and Barbera. The manufacturing and viticulture remain rooted in the original Italian estate and vineyards, continuing a legacy of excellence that has spanned five generations.
