Duyvis Oven Baked Peanuts Salted

Duyvis is one of the most iconic Dutch snack brands, with a history dating back to 1806 when Teewis Duyvis inherited an oil mill in the Zaanstreek region. Originally focused on producing oils and cattle fodder, the company pivoted toward consumer goods during the 1930s. In 1961, Duyvis began specializing in nuts and snacks, eventually becoming the market leader for peanuts and nuts in the Netherlands.

The brand has undergone several ownership changes, moving from Akzo to Douwe Egberts (Sara Lee) in 1987, and finally being acquired by the American multinational PepsiCo in 2006. Today, Duyvis remains a staple of Dutch social gatherings, particularly for its 'borrelnootjes' and oven-baked peanut varieties. While the brand is managed under PepsiCo's European division, it maintains its strong Dutch heritage, with significant production continuing at its modern facility in Zaandam, which was established in 1991 near its original founding site.
