Seagram's beverages

Seagram's is a historic brand with a complex ownership structure following the dissolution of the original Seagram Company Ltd. in 2000. Originally founded in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, in 1857, the brand became a global leader in the spirits industry under the Bronfman family. Today, the Seagram's name is utilized by several different multinational corporations depending on the product category.

In the alcoholic spirits sector, ownership is split. Seagram's Seven Crown American whiskey is owned by the British firm Diageo, while Seagram's Gin and various other spirit brands are owned by the French company Pernod Ricard. Seagram's V.O. Canadian whisky was sold to the American Sazerac Company in 2018. In the non-alcoholic segment, the Coca-Cola Company has owned the rights to Seagram's mixers, such as ginger ale, tonic water, and club soda, since 2002. Additionally, flavored malt beverages known as Seagram's Escapes are produced and marketed by FIFCO USA (formerly North American Breweries). Manufacturing for these products takes place in various countries, primarily in the United States and Canada, reflecting the localized operations of these diverse parent companies.
