The Fiat Strada Adventure is a rugged, compact pickup truck that has become a staple in the Latin American automotive market. Originally launched in 1998 as a utility version of the Fiat Palio, the Strada was developed by Fiat's Brazilian subsidiary to tackle demanding terrain while providing the practicality of a small commercial vehicle. The 'Adventure' trim, introduced later, added off-road styling and enhanced suspension to cater to leisure users and rural workers alike.

While the Fiat brand is fundamentally Italian, the Strada's development and production have been centered in South America. The vast majority of these vehicles are manufactured at the Stellantis (formerly Fiat) plant in Betim, Brazil, which serves as the primary hub for the model. Some generations were also assembled in other locations such as South Africa and Turkey to meet regional demand.

Ownership of the brand has evolved through several major mergers. Fiat S.p.A. merged with Chrysler to form Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), which then merged with the PSA Group in 2021 to create Stellantis. As of 2026, Stellantis remains the ultimate owner, managing a massive portfolio of brands and maintaining its position as one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers with headquarters in the Netherlands.
