The brand is well-known for its range of digital receivers, televisions, and especially its digital radios, which have become a core part of its product lineup since the introduction of DAB+ technology.

While TechniSat maintains significant production facilities in Germany—most notably in Schöneck, Dippach, and Staßfurt—their manufacturing strategy involves a mix of local German production and international sourcing. Some high-end and specifically marketed models like the DIGITRADIO 1 are proudly 'Made in Germany,' whereas other models in their extensive catalog are manufactured or assembled in their international facilities in Poland, Hungary, or China to maintain competitive pricing. The DIGITRADIO 200, introduced around 2012, belongs to the portable segment of their portfolio.

The brand remains under the ownership of the TechniSat Digital GmbH group, which is a private independent company. Although the company's 'Automotive' division was sold to Joyson/Preh in 2016 and its research center in Dresden was sold to Bender in 2020, the core Consumer Electronics brand and its manufacturing sites remain independent and under the original group's umbrella, continuing to operate from its headquarters in Daun, Germany.
