Doritos is a globally recognized brand of flavored tortilla chips. The brand originated in the early 1960s at a restaurant in Disneyland, California, where surplus tortillas were seasoned and fried into snacks. Since then, it has grown into a cornerstone of the global snack food market.

Today, Doritos is owned by PepsiCo through its Frito-Lay subsidiary. For the Iberian market, which includes Spain and Portugal, products are primarily manufactured in PepsiCo's specialized plants in Spain, such as the facility in Burgos, which exports significantly to Portugal. The brand continues to innovate with its 'Performance with Purpose' strategy, focusing on sustainable production and expanding its flavor portfolio to meet diverse consumer tastes across more than 200 countries.
