Cien is a private-label personal care brand exclusively owned and distributed by the German international discount supermarket chain Lidl. The brand was developed to offer high-quality cosmetic and hygiene products at accessible price points, effectively competing with major global health and beauty brands.

Originally founded in Germany, the brand's production is largely centralized in its home country. Many of its liquid products, including the Nature's Beauty shampoo line, are formulated and packaged by private-label manufacturing specialists like Mann & Schröder GmbH, based in Germany. However, due to Lidl's vast global presence, some Cien products may also be manufactured in other European countries to serve local markets.

Lidl itself is part of the Schwarz Group (Schwarz Gruppe), a massive family-owned retail conglomerate headquartered in Neckarsulm, Germany. The Schwarz Group remains one of the largest retailers in the world and continues to be ultimately owned by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation and the Schwarz family.
