Princes Apple Juice is a well-known fruit beverage in the United Kingdom, recognized for its 'from concentrate' 100% pure formulation. The brand traces its history back to 1880 in Liverpool, England, where it was founded by William Muirhead Simpson and Frank Roberts. While originally starting with tinned seafood imports, the Princes brand expanded significantly into soft drinks and fruit juices throughout the 20th century.

In contemporary production, the company operates a 'Centre of Excellence' for fruit juices in Cardiff, Wales. This facility handles high-volume production of ambient and chilled carton juices, including the 1-litre formats commonly seen on shelves. While much of the juice destined for the British market is packaged in the UK, the company maintains a global supply network to source high-quality fruit.

Ownership of the brand has seen major transitions. For several decades, it was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation. However, in mid-2024, the Italian food giant Newlat Food S.p.A. acquired Princes Limited in a high-profile deal, forming the 'New Princes Group'. This move has shifted the ultimate ownership to Italy, marking a new chapter for the historic British brand as part of a major European multi-brand food and beverage group.
