The Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) is a central command center for smart home ecosystems, originally launched as part of the Google Home line before being rebranded under the Nest umbrella. This specific device is displaying an Italian interface for controlling home lighting ("Luce divano" meaning sofa light), showing its integration with IoT devices like smart bulbs.

Historically, Nest Labs was founded in 2010 by former Apple engineers Tony Fadell and Matt Rogers. Google acquired the company in 2014 for $3.2 billion. While early production was heavily centered in China, Google shifted significant portions of its hardware manufacturing to Taiwan, Vietnam, and Malaysia starting in 2019 to diversify its supply chain and avoid trade tariffs. Today, these devices are produced in various Southeast Asian facilities depending on the target market.
