Pocket Coffee is a distinctive chocolate confectionery originally introduced by the Italian Ferrero Group in 1968. Conceived by William Salice, an assistant to the company's legendary owner Michele Ferrero, the product was designed as a portable energy source for individuals working long hours, such as truck drivers. The product's signature feature is its liquid espresso center, which is encased in a dark chocolate shell lined with a thin layer of sugar to prevent the coffee from soaking into the chocolate.

Today, the brand remains a core part of Ferrero's international portfolio. Due to its liquid center, the product is famously seasonal, typically available only between November and April to prevent melting during warmer months. While it is iconic to the Italian market, it is distributed globally. Ownership remains within the Ferrero family through Ferrero International S.A., a privately held group headquartered in Luxembourg, maintaining the heritage of the original Alba-based company founded in 1946.
