Ferrero Raffaello coconut almond confection

Raffaello is a premium confectionery brand launched in 1990 by the Italian manufacturer Ferrero. Characterized by its unique spherical shape, the treat consists of a whole blanched almond surrounded by a smooth milk cream, encased in a crispy wafer shell and coated with shredded coconut. Unlike many of Ferrero's other products, the classic Raffaello does not contain chocolate.

The brand is deeply rooted in the Italian tradition of fine pastry making (Pasticceria Italiana). While its heritage is Italian, the product is manufactured in several strategic locations globally to serve its international markets. Key production facilities are located in Alba (Italy), Vladimir (Russia), Brantford (Canada), and Arlon (Belgium). Russia remains one of the brand's largest and most significant consumer markets.

Today, Raffaello remains under the ownership of the Ferrero Group, a private multinational company headquartered in Alba, Italy. The group is controlled by the Ferrero family, with Giovanni Ferrero serving as the executive chairman. The brand continues to expand its portfolio, having recently introduced chocolate bars and ice cream varieties under the Raffaello name.
