The SodaStream Duo is a high-end sparkling water maker that uniquely supports both glass carafes and reusable plastic bottles. Originally invented in England in 1903 by Guy Hugh Gilbey of the gin distillers W & A Gilbey Ltd, the brand underwent significant transformation over the decades, eventually moving its core operations to Israel after merging with Soda-Club in 1998.

Today, SodaStream is a global leader in home carbonation, focused on reducing single-use plastic waste. The brand was acquired by the American multinational PepsiCo in 2018 for $3.2 billion. While the company maintains its global headquarters and principal manufacturing facility in Israel (specifically in the Idan HaNegev Industrial Park), it operates multiple production sites worldwide to supply its products to over 45 countries. The Duo model specifically is celebrated for its versatile 'Quick Connect' cylinder system and its recognition by the Red Dot Design Award.
