Tanduay Select is a premium blended rum produced by Tanduay Distillers, Inc., one of the world's most historic and prolific spirits brands. Its origins date back to 1854 with the establishment of a distillery in Hagonoy, Bulacan, Philippines, by the firm Ynchausti y Compañía. The brand name 'Tanduay' is derived from 'tangwáy', the Tagalog word for peninsula, reflecting the low-lying location of its original Manila rectifying plant established in 1860.

Throughout its long history, the brand transitioned from Spanish immigrant ownership to the prominent Elizalde family in 1934. In 1988, the company was acquired by Filipino business magnate Lucio Tan, who modernized production and expanded its reach. Today, Tanduay is manufactured in multiple state-of-the-art facilities across the Philippines, utilizing local sugarcane and traditional aging methods in oak barrels to maintain its status as one of the world's best-selling rum brands.

The brand is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of the LT Group, Inc., a massive Filipino conglomerate headquartered in Taguig, Metro Manila. Under the leadership of the Tan family, Tanduay has achieved global prominence, frequently ranking as the top-selling rum brand by volume worldwide and maintaining deep cultural ties to Filipino heritage.
