Wildiers Vliersiroop Sirop de Sureau

Wildiers is a traditional Belgian brand with deep roots in artisanal food production. Originally founded by the Wildiers family in 1985, the business began as an extension of their chicory farming operations. To combat food waste, the family started transforming surplus produce into jams and pickles, eventually becoming a renowned name for high-quality preserves and specialty syrups like this elderberry syrup (Vliersiroop).

In 2008, the company established a dedicated production facility in Haacht, Belgium, to handle growing demand while maintaining traditional recipes. The brand underwent several ownership transitions in recent years: it was managed by Renaud Craenhals from 2018 until late 2024, when it was acquired by Thierry Vandererfven through the company Belberry. Today, Wildiers continues to operate as an artisanal brand under the Belberry umbrella, producing its goods in the Flemish region of Belgium and supplying delicatessens and specialty shops across Europe.
