Lundhags is a premier Swedish outdoor brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1932, when shoemaker Jonas Lundhag began crafting durable boots in Jämtland, Sweden. Known for its "shell principle" in footwear and high-quality trekking apparel, the brand emphasizes longevity, sustainability, and repairability.
While the brand maintains a factory in Järpen, Sweden, for its most technical boots and professional repair services, a significant portion of its production was moved to Portugal in the early 2000s to partner with specialized manufacturers like the Ferreira family. Other apparel and equipment items are sourced globally, focusing on recycled materials and organic cotton.
Since 2012, Lundhags has been part of the Brav Norway AS group (formerly Swix Sport Group). Brav is ultimately owned by Ferd AS, a massive Norwegian investment company controlled by the Andresen family. This ownership provides the brand with the financial backing and logistical network to compete internationally while maintaining its core Scandinavian identity.
